by Andrew Hiddleston

square one mall a shopping guideAt the heart of downtown Mississauga, you’ll find one of the largest shopping centers in Canada, aptly named Square One Mall.

Square One Mall is home to hundreds of stores ranging from fashion, books, electronics and more. However due to it’s size the mall can sometimes be overwhelming at first.

Shopping at Square One Mall can be an all-day affair, depending on your time constraints and goals. We’ve put together a best-of-the-best list of resources to help you find your way around, identify key destinations, and get a feel for the diversity of everything the Mall has to offer.

Let’s get started with the obvious … where are we headed?

How do I get to the Square One Mall shopping area?

Huronatrio Street runs most of the way through Mississauga, north to south, and is located between Dixie Road and Mississauga Road. Square One Mall extends along Burnhamthorpe Road and is really hard to miss.

Parking for a day of shopping at the Square One Mall

Lots of onsite parking can be found at Square One Mall. If you do decide to ride your bike down, the City has plenty of bike racks for securing your bike while you shop. You can also take the Mississauga Transit bus. The route 19 will drop you off almost right at the doors.

Is there a good map of Square One Mall shopping destinations?

You bet. Here is the massive Square One Store Directory. Here, you can see exactly what stores are there and how to find them.

What kind of stores can I expect to find at Square One Mall?

Maybe a better question is what kinds of stores won’t you find?

The Mall is filled with everything from clothing stores and jewelers like Peoples to internationally-known retail storefronts like Banana Republic, GAP and Harry Rosen. From shoes to hats and everything in between for house, home, and human, you won’t be at a loss whether you need a birthday card or new pair of running shoes.
